Comment Spam.

Join the club. Anonymous comments are an invitation to spammers; at least turning on registered comments will make it a bit harder for them to infest the site.

I disabled anonymous comments a few weeks ago and have hardly received any spam since then. I hope it works for you too.

Good plan. I also moderate comments and receive some earnest looking material from Blogger accounts. I check the profile and if it has had ten views in two years it is a pretty good indication that someone is just trying to generate site traffic.

I need to check my Spam folder and see what is trapped there.

I too have set my comments differently over the past few months thanks tot the French clothing and women's purse company. I set mine to moderation since their spammers have legitimate accounts and sometimes blogs.

Or! Just have a crappy site like mine and never post to it. I don't get ANY spam because of that! :-D

Good luck getting rid of jerky spambot jerks.

Haha Jason! That's my method as well!
