This is actually not a typewriter at all. It is close-up of a species of sandy atoll dwelling millipede's segmented body. The grey "lump" at the top of the image is the insect's stomach - it has just eaten a football in mistake for a coconut!
Looks more Olympia to me but I like Rob's guess.
