Nice typewriters. I'd love to find a Hermes standard like the one in your picture. I have yet to find any typewriters in thrift stores here except for a plastic Royal Sterling a few months ago.
A fine day for typewriters. I am not sure if I would have been able to pass up on that Hermes standard. Then again, they are far less common over here. Great finds!
I too am fascinated by that square Hermes. Not a bad look-see for a day! I don't think I would have shown your kind o restraint however; I probably would have come home with at least one machine.

Remember however that he wanted 30 Fr for my Swissa, so not that much higher.

This is awesome, Florian. I agree with Dwayne, it was the Hermes with its square lines that also caught my eye.

Entertaining. I will add my voice to the chorus who likes the Hermes Standard. They almost never appear in the US.
