New Hope for the Zurich Thrift Stores

Note: I wrote this post in April, since then, it was buried in the Drafts.
I've visited the thrift store a couple of times since then, and there were always some typewriters.
Location: Badenerstrasse 415, Zürich. Trams 2/3 to Albisriederplatz or 2 to Letzigrund.

And you...walked away from the three machines you have posted here? You, sir, have far more control than I can ever imagine having.

Very nice array of machines they had there, and hopefully you will be able to find something that piques your interest there soon!

Great looking Continental.

That Continental looks very nice!

I haven't had much look with the few equivalents of thrift stores I've seen in my city; mostly they call themselves "antiques dealers" to justify the astronomical amounts they pretend to charge for the stuff they have on their shelves. And very, very few typewriters! I've only seen an Oliver or two, non-functionals, rusty and rather incomplete, on sale for a price so high you would've expected them to be fully functional.

Right now, in Mexico, typewriters haven't really changed their status from "old-fashioned stuff" to "collectibles", and thus the best places to find them are the second-hand bazaars, garage sales, and the Internet.

Ten typewriters in a single thrift store is impressive. The Continental looks really good.

Ho, hum. Another day, another vintage typewriter or three ;-)

They all look nice and the Continental looks really well preserved.
