The Collection: Orga Privat

I have to add that the Orga Privat doesn't have a bad typing feel, but it definitely isn't suitable for fast typing or long typing - the typebars tend to jam. The unusual carriage return, on the other hand, is quite intuitive.

The Collection: Orga Privat In the series "The Colleutiony we present the type- writers on the shelves of maschinengeschrieben. This friday, it's the aged Orga Privat. On the other side, the Urga is well—engineered, seems nearly indestrudable. The carriage shift is surprisingly light, and the touch lS Okay for a typewriter nearly ninety years old. It is - probably also due to the petrified platen - very loud and sounds tinmetal1ic,but is oxay to type on.‘ There is a lot of dirt on the typeslugs and tne margin is a bit erratic, but the typewriter isn't all tnat bad. only a bit big. And heavy as hell. especially thanks to a massive, wooden base. maschinengeschrieben.blogspotcom. Urge Privat This awesome post was brought to you by the mighty Typosphere
