I know what you mean. Here's something I learned the hard way restoring "Dali": it's wise to take a good photo BEFORE removing any part, and then keep it in a nice small ZipLock(R) bag with all the screws, washers and/or nuts that came off with it. Labeling the bag with the reference number of the photo in question will also help locate the pieces back in place.

Good to know you managed to fix the ribbon advance!

Photos and magnets are a life-saver. I like that little magnet pice you have. Great work! I keep everything in zip-lock bags while I work on something.

Good idea, but taking detailed macro digital photos and putting the screws back into where they were removed also helps.
