Ein Klassiker! Z.B.: Farbband nicht in der richtigen Höhe angeschlagen, an manchen Stellen dann ein kleiner Einschlag am Rand der dann reisst.
Ganz ausser Acht zu lassen ist aber sicher auch nicht die Theorie eines Gnoms, der nächtens mit der Minischere in der Schreibmaschinensammlung sein Unwesen treibt --> siehe böses Heinzelmännchen.

Over-zealous, enthusiastic typing, which happens to ME all the time.

The fabric on ribbons, although surprisingly durable, can have little imperfections & weaknesses in the weave that can tear if it's struck in just the "right" spot...
